eSIM for Thailand Travel 2026: Recommended by an eSIM Expert

I work in after-sales and technical support for travel eSIMs. I've helped users from all over the world and dealt with all kinds of eSIM problems, from setup failures to connection issues.

I'll share how to fix common eSIM problems quickly later in this article. Based on my experience, choosing an eSIM that is less likely to cause problems is very important. I'll also recommend one that I think works best for most people.

I say "most people" and not "everyone" because some people care more about price, and some care more about the website or app experience.

My selection order is: Thailand eSIM network carrier support > Price > Other services

I carefully reviewed more than ten Thailand eSIM providers, including Airalo, esimNB, Holafly, Ubigi, Jetpack, Nomad, and Yesim. After comparing their networks, prices, and services, my conclusion is that the best Thailand travel eSIM for most people is esimNB.

This is not a self-promotion article. I recommend esimNB because it is genuinely good and has real advantages. I'll also recommend other Thailand eSIM providers that I think are worth considering. And I'll teach you how to pick a good Thailand eSIM on your own, so you can decide for yourself.

Notice: This article includes our own brand and other brands. We don't work with any affiliate marketing programs, so we don't earn any referral money. Everything below is my personal opinion. It may not be perfect, and I'll keep updating it over time.

What Is the Best Mobile Network Coverage for Thailand?

Thailand has three major mobile network operators: AIS, TrueMove H, and DTAC.

The general ranking is: AIS > TrueMove H > DTAC. Later, DTAC merged with TrueMove H. After the merger, DTAC can share True's cell towers, so its coverage has improved a lot.

But AIS is still the best mobile network in Thailand. AIS is the largest carrier in the country and is known for leading technology and wide coverage.

The image below shows AIS 4G/5G signal coverage from a third-party website:

Thailand AIS Coverage

AIS has strong 5G coverage across almost all of Thailand. Even in remote rural areas, it still offers 4G. Compared to other carriers like DTAC, AIS has a much denser network.

So if you're a hiker or a digital nomad who needs stable signal in remote parts of Thailand, you should choose a Thailand eSIM that supports AIS.

AIS also keeps your connection stable even in crowded areas.

If you're just a regular tourist visiting Thailand for a few days and staying mostly in big cities like Bangkok or Phuket, then AIS, TrueMove H, and DTAC are all fine. The difference is small in major cities.

eSIM Provider Thailand Network Comparison

Here is the latest comparison of Thailand eSIM provider network support in 2026. I'll keep this table as up to date as possible.

AiraloAIS, True5G
UbigiAIS, True5G
NomadAIS, DTAC5G

Almost all providers support AIS, which is great. The exceptions are Holafly and Yesim.

Why esimNB Is Best for Most Thailand Travelers?

esimNB's Thailand eSIM supports both AIS and True. These are the two largest carriers in Thailand with wide coverage and a strong network of cell towers.

esimNB Thailand Carriers

Many other Thailand eSIM providers also support AIS. The difference is that esimNB has a better price. Among providers that support both AIS and True, esimNB is the cheapest.

The 10GB 30-day plan costs only $120 USD. Other providers charge $3 to $4 more for the same plan.

esimNB Thailand 2026 Pricing

The price difference is not huge, but if we have to pick the single best Thailand eSIM, the answer is esimNB.

Some other providers may be cheaper than esimNB, but they either don't support AIS or only support AIS with no backup carrier.

Having two or more carriers is useful. If one carrier has a problem or goes down, your eSIM can switch to the other one automatically. This keeps your connection more stable.

Does esimNB Have Any Shortcomings?

Yes, it does.

esimNB doesn't have a mobile app yet. Right now, users can only buy, install, and check their eSIM through the website.

How to Choose a Good Thailand eSIM by Yourself?

There are three things to look at when judging a Thailand eSIM. First is the carrier support and IP routing. Second is the price. Third is the extra services from the provider, such as website or app experience and customer support.

Some people care more about price. Some care more about service. It depends on you.

One quick note: most Thailand eSIMs use a Singapore or Hong Kong IP by default. Both are close to Thailand, so the difference is small. I won't go into more detail on this here.

If you don't want to research all of this yourself, here is a simple summary you can follow:

  1. The Thailand eSIM should support AIS, or AIS + True, or AIS + DTAC.
  2. A 10GB plan in the $9 to $11 range is good value. Over $11 is a bit expensive.
  3. The provider should support hotspot sharing, data top-ups, and online usage tracking.

What Other Options Are There for a Thailand eSIM?

Besides esimNB, there are two other providers that support both AIS and True. They cost a few dollars more, but they are still good choices and easy to recommend.

1. Airalo

Airalo performs well for Thailand. It supports AIS and the price is not too high. The 10GB plan costs $11 USD.

2. Nomad / Ubigi

I originally wanted to recommend Ubigi, but their 10GB plan costs $13.90 USD, which is more expensive than Airalo. So I switched to recommending Nomad instead. Nomad supports AIS and DTAC.

One thing to note: Nomad has very few Thailand plan options. They only offer 1GB, 10GB, 50GB, and unlimited. Of these, only the 10GB plan is good value at $11 USD.

Also, Nomad's 50GB plan is cheap, but it only supports TrueMove H and does not allow refunds after purchase. Keep that in mind when deciding between Nomad and Ubigi.

Has Anyone Complained About esimNB's Thailand eSIM?

The Thailand eSIM is one of our best-selling plans, so I've handled quite a few support cases for it.

One time, a customer bought an eSIM and thought it would be sent to her email. But esimNB doesn't send the QR code by email automatically. After purchase, the eSIM shows up directly on the My eSIMs page of our website.

Most other support cases come from users who weren't sure how to use the eSIM, or who forgot to set the eSIM as their active mobile data line after installing it.

As for real technical problems, there was one case where a user told me their Thailand eSIM suddenly stopped working. After looking into it, the cause was network congestion. During peak hours in Thailand, carriers lower the priority of travel eSIMs so local users get better speeds first. This is a common issue with all travel eSIMs, not just ours. It usually fixes itself after a short wait, or when you move to a less crowded area.

So don't worry too much about it. Just wait a bit or walk to a more open spot.

One more thing that could happen, though I've never seen it with our Thailand eSIM: sometimes the QR code from the carrier has an error and won't install. If this happens, just email me at hello@esimnb.com and I'll send you a new eSIM right away.

esimNB Customer Support

esimNB's support channels are WhatsApp and email. We don't have live chat, so we can't always reply right away. During Asian business hours, we usually reply within a few minutes. At night or early morning, it may take a few hours.

I handle all customer support personally. Any question about installation, activation, connection issues, or refunds, you can contact me directly.

Personal email: taosirdyt@gmail.com Work email: hello@esimnb.com

If you have installation or activation problems, please check our help guide first: Link

If your eSIM still doesn't work after installing, here is what fixes it most of the time:

  1. Make sure your eSIM is set to use mobile data
  2. Make sure data roaming is turned on for the eSIM (this won't cost you anything extra)
  3. Restart your phone

If it still doesn't work, the signal in your area may be weak. Check the signal bars on your phone and try going outside to a more open area.

In rare cases, a bad install or a faulty eSIM can cause problems. Try deleting the eSIM and scanning the QR code again. Or email me and I'll send you a new one right away.

esimNB offers a no-questions-asked refund. If your eSIM doesn't work and you've checked the steps above, or if you just want a refund without checking anything, contact me at taosirdyt@gmail.com. I'll process your refund within one business day. The money usually arrives in 2 to 5 business days depending on your bank.

Conclusion

If you follow this priority order when choosing a Thailand eSIM: network carrier support > price > other services, then the best Thailand eSIM provider is esimNB. It supports AIS and True, the two best networks in Thailand, and the 10GB plan costs only $120 USD. That's $2 to $3 cheaper than most other providers.

If you want to choose a Thailand eSIM on your own, you can use the tips in this article to find the right one for you.
