Airalo eSIM review collection (from real customers)
1. Airalo UK eSIM review
American tourists traveling to the UK for a week in 2023.
The tourist is a moderate to heavy data user.
10G is enough for one week of use in the UK, and it is also OK to use data traffic for navigation during this period.
In 2025, Airalo UK eSIM 10GB price is around $19.0, the supported carriers are changed to EE, which is 4G network.
esimNB UK eSIM 10GB price is $9.0
This price data was updated on June 4, 2026 and may increase, supported operators include T-mobile, O2 and 3, they are all 5G network.
Which means you can get the same (or even better) Internet experience at a cheaper price.
2. Airalo Europe eSIM review
Airalo's eSIM in Europe has received mixed reviews.
This post was published in 2024.
A Reddit post criticized Airalo's poor experience in Europe and advised against purchasing it.
However, some people in the comments said they had no problems using it.
Here are the post details:
The poster decided to try it after being recommended by some YouTube bloggers, but found the connection completely unstable.
“The connection was completely unreliable, crapping out multiple times and leaving me in serious situations.”
- On the train, the poster couldn’t show his valid ticket because data stopped working.
- While exploring a foreign city, the data cut out again, leaving the poster stranded and struggling to navigate back to his hotel.
- The service also caused him to miss important meetings because he couldn’t access maps or transportation apps.
After communicating with Airalo, The poster found out that it was a network problem on Airalo's side.
In my opinion, occasional network outages from carriers are inevitable, but they should be considered rare incidents.
Before 2024, eSIM services were still in a relatively early and less mature stage. Airalo might not have established complete partnerships with European telecom operators at that time, which could have led to such issues.
However, unlike Airalo, esimNB does not negotiate directly with individual carriers around the world. Instead, it works closely with multiple suppliers, skipping the lengthy negotiation process with each operator.
This approach ensures broader and more complete carrier coverage — even though it comes at the cost of lower profit margins.
Currently, esimNB Europe eSIM supports most European operators and all of them are 4G/5G networks.
Airalo Europe eSIM is still LTE network in some countries (such as Spain).

Did Airalo improve support for telecom operators in Europe in 2026?
The answer is that support in some European countries did not improve, while support in others improved. Here is the latest support information for Airalo and esimNB operators in some European countries as of June 2026:
| Country | Airalo | esimNB |
|---|---|---|
| France | Orange | Orange (5G) |
| Spain | Orange | Orange / Movistar (5G) |
| Italy | Wind Tre/Vodafone / Iliad | TIM / Iliad / Wind (5G) |
| Turkey | Turk Telekom | Türk Telekom (5G) |
| Greece | WIND HELLAS | Wind / Vodafone (5G) |
| UK | EE | O2 (5G) / T-Mobile UK (5G) / 3 (4G) |
| Germany | O2 / Vodafone | O2 / Vodafone (5G) |
In summary, Airalo offers sufficient support for most countries' operators for travel purposes, but for a more stable signal connection experience while traveling in Europe, esimNB may be a more suitable option.
3. Airalo Brazil eSIM review
A blogger wrote in a blog post in 2025:
“Brazil was my next country where Airalo came in handy. In Brazil it’s very tricky to buy a SIM as a foreigner. You need to have a local tax number called a CPF which tourists don’t have access to. As a result, most places won’t sell you a SIM card that works. The only shop we found willing to sell one to foreigners charged over US$30 for a short package with low data allowances…”
This indicates that there is no problem with Airalo's use in Brazil.
In a reddit post, someone also encountered intermittent network problems when using it in Brazil.
According to the discussion in the comments section, the reason is the difference in operators. Generally in Brazil, Claro or Vivo operators are more stable.
So make sure your eSIM can connect to Claro or Vivo.
If you're not sure, you can choose esimNB Brazil eSIM, which supports major Brazilian operators TIM. All of them are 5G networks.
4. Airalo China eSIM review
I found two posts on Reddit about the experience of using Airalo in China.
The first post all agreed that Airalo's experience in China is quite good, especially since you can connect to Facebook and WhatsApp without having to purchase a VPN.
However, some people also said that YouTube might not be able to connect.
The blogger of the second post is Shanghai Travel, who also said that Airalo eSIM can be used with Instagram, TikTok, and Google without any problems.
But there was a big problem:
Airalo esim cannot access Chinese apps such as Didi, Baidu Maps, and food delivery apps.
Finally he had to change an eSIM provider to solve the problem.
Bellow is his Airalo review in China:
Therefore, my review of Airalo for China is as follows:
• Value for money: 1.5/5
• Functionality: 1/5 (Works on western social media but no apps that you actually need to get around China)
• Ease of setup: 5/5 (We did it directly through the app, no hassle)
• Customer service: 2/5 (Pre-purchase support was helpful. Post-purchase support is slow, unresponsive, and not helpful in resolving the issues, or in helping us to get a refund)
Overall: 1.5/5
According to Airalo's latest China eSIM configuration, it currently only supports China Unicom.
I believe Airalo's China eSIM is improved by 2026, but China Mobile is still the largest and most widely covered operator in China.
If you are traveling to non-first-tier Chinese cities, then an eSIM that supports China Mobile is a better choice.
esimNB offers a wide variety of China eSIM plans, supports China Mobile, and covers urban areas and most rural areas in China, so you don't need to worry about losing contact.
5. Airalo Japan eSIM review
I found a reddit post from 2025
This post agrees that Airalo works well in Japan.
But if you want a more cheaper Japan eSIM, I recommend esimNB Japan eSIM.
esimNB:A Strong Alternative to Airalo

esimNB is an eSIM store for global travel.
The reasons why esimNB can be considered an alternative to Airalo are as follows:
Its interface and purchase/usage process are similar to Airalo. If you are a long-time Airalo user, purchasing an eSIM from esimNB will be a quick and easy process. In fact, esimNB's eSIM installation experience is even simpler than Airalo's. After purchase, the eSIM can be installed in no more than three clicks.
Secondly, esimNB addresses Airalo's lack of support for certain countries' operators. For example, in the UK, Airalo only supports EE and offers only 4G speeds. esimNB, on the other hand, supports O2, T-Mobile UK, and 3G, offering 5G speeds. These are major UK telecom operators, ensuring a stable and high-quality signal connection in the UK.
