How to Activate an eSIM Using Manual Activation Code
If you’re unable to scan an eSIM QR code—or simply prefer another method—you can activate your esimNB eSIM using a Manual Activation Code. This method works on supported iOS and Android devices and only takes a few minutes.
Below is a step-by-step guide to requesting your activation code and installing your eSIM manually.
How to Get Your Manual Activation Code
- Log in to your esimNB account.
- Go to My eSIMs from the navigation menu.
- Find your active plan and click Details.
- Click the button Android & Manually, click Next, find your Manual Activation Code.
- Copy the activation details shown on the screen. You’ll need these during installation.
How to Activate an eSIM with a Manual Code
iOS (iPhone)
- Open Settings and tap Cellular (this may also appear as Mobile or Mobile Service).
- Under Cellular Plans, tap Add eSIM.
- Your camera will open. Tap Enter Details Manually at the bottom of the screen.
- Enter the SM-DP+ Address provided in your esimNB account.
- Enter the Activation Code exactly as shown.
- Do not enter a Confirmation Code — it’s not required.
- Tap Next in the top-right corner and follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation.
Note: If you see an error such as “Unable to Activate eSIM”, the eSIM may already be installed on your device. Check your phone’s cellular settings or refer to the eSIM connection troubleshooting guide for further steps.
Android 13 (Google Pixel)
- Open Settings.
- Go to Network & Internet.
- Tap SIMs, then tap the + icon.
- Select Download a SIM instead? at the bottom of the screen.
- When prompted, tap Yes, then Next. Your camera will open.
- Tap Need help? at the bottom.
- On the Help adding a network screen, find the option under Having trouble scanning your QR code and tap Enter it manually.
- Enter the Manual Activation Code exactly as shown in your esimNB account.
- Follow the on-screen steps to confirm and activate your new data plan.
Can’t Find the Manual Activation Option?
If your device does not display an option to enter a manual activation code, it likely does not support eSIM technology.
